After three action-packed movies, “The Expendables” creator and star Sylvester Stallone is heading to the small screen with Fox developing the movie’s TV series. The upcoming spin-off series will serve former action stars a second chance for their career in Hollywood.

Stallone is set to executive produce the hit feature franchise along with film’s producer Avi Lerner with Shane Brennan (NCIS) as showrunner. Inspired by the film franchise, the actors who will play as the members of the “The Expendables” are yet to be named. But based on Deadline, the action drama is set to “unites iconic TV stars as a new team of highly-skilled heroes who are on a mission to stop a dangerous terrorist.”

Here are five TV actors for “The Expendables” dream cast.

Charlie Hunnam

Known for his role as Jax Teller in Kurt Sutter’s biker drama series “Sons of Anarchy,” Charlie Hunnam is the perfect guy to play the group’s young blood. Just like the role of Jason Stratham and Kellan Lutz in the film, the “King Arthur” star is fresh from his TV series and has millions of followers that could help the show.

Chuck Norris

Although he had a public differences with Stallone after the movie’s second instalment, “Walker, Texas Ranger” star Chuck Norris is the perfect guy to carry on the film series to the small screen. Norris’ action crime drama series has full eight seasons and has been broadcast in over 100 countries and has become one of the most popular actions shows in the television history.

Richard Dean Anderson

An actor, television producer and composer; Richard Dean Anderson is known for his roles in “General Hospital” and “MacGyver” (1985-1992). After wrapping up his TV series, the actor returned to the small screen in 1997 to 2005 to play the lead role in the 1994 film “Stargate” spinoff.

Kevin Sorbo

Still ripped despite his age, Kevin Sorbo is the ultimate action hero. The 56-year-old star is best known for his role as Hercules in “Hercules: The Legendary Journeys. He also played Kull in “Kull the Conqueror” and Captain Dylan Hunt in the science-fiction drama series “Andromeda.”

David Boreanaz

Known for his TV roles in “Buffy,” “Angel” and “Bones,” David Boreanaz can definitely pull off the action-hero look. The actor is scheduled to reprise his role as FBI Special Agent Seeley Booth in “Bones” Season 10.
