He was thrown out of Saudi Arabia; people knew him as a Dubai native; and he currently lives in Vancouver, Canada.

“Too handsome” guy, Omar Borkan Al Gala may seem to have lost his home in the eyes of more than one million followers on Facebook, especially women, but the self-described poet knew exactly what his roots are as he embraced them as he opened up where he really came from.

Omar revealed in a statement sent EXCLUSIVELY to IBTimes-AU where his real roots are, letting everyone know a glimpse of his early life.

Thanking his followers on Facebook which now reached almost 1.1 million since his deportation broke out on April 24, 2013, Omar shared his roots as a way to express gratitude for the love and support he received from fans.

He said, “… let me start by telling you that I was born in Baghdad and that's my original home. I grew up in Dubai and consider it my second home.”

It will be recalled that there were references of Omar in Dubai as his native soil - - where he was sent back after being thrown out of a festival in Saudi Arabia, three months ago. Apparently, Omar wasn’t even born in Dubai. The self-described model and upcoming actor for short film, ‘51’ said he was born in Iraq.

The actor thanked his fans for all “the love and support” they have been given him in the last few months and Omar said that he has had them in mind for all his endeavors as he hinted on two of them.

“… I am working on a couple of very interesting projects right now, one involves a film and one is fashion related." Omar Borkan Al Gala said in an exclusive statement.

Omar has now over one million followers, supporting him through social networks. In an earlier report by IBTimes-AU, Omar noted that they have been “blessing from God.”

"I truly appreciate all the love and support my fans have shown me. To have 1 million likes on Facebook is a blessing from God,” Omar said.

He added, “The real question here is what am I going to show people now that I have their attention… I would like my fans to get to know me better and to update them on the new things going on in my life.”

Omar’s representative said that the actor has a documentary coming up which is hoped to shed light on his deportation issue.
