Actress Elizabeth Mitchell currently causes trouble in "Once Upon A Time" Season 4 as the villain Snow Queen. The 44-year-old OUAT star recently opened up about her character's dark side, plans and the possibility of redemption in ABC's fairy tale drama series.

In an IGN interview, Elizabeth Mitchell explained how come the Snow Queen is a calm but crazy character in "Once Upon A Time" Season 4. "I had to give a lot of thought to what she had been through," the actress shared.

Snow Queen's behavior comes from her dark past of killing somebody accidentally. Being in an urn for a really long time also drove Elizabeth Mitchell's character mad.

The actress further added that the Snow Queen's plans are working out in a calm way because she has cleverly planned and thought everything out. "I think like all villains, like all people in life, she thinks she deeply deserves what she's asking for. She's on the path to get what it is that she needs. And that's why it all worked out in a calm fashion, because she deeply feels she'll get it," Mitchell explained in the interview.

When asked if her villainous character could be redeemed like the Evil Queen (Lana Parrilla), Elizabeth Mitchell claims that there is a possibility for that to happen to the Snow Queen. The actress admitted that it is currently hard to imagine the Snow Queen redeeming herself because things are only getting worse as the show gets deeper in the storyline.

"But I like to think that almost everyone should be forgiven. So, I do think it's possible. I think it should happen," Mitchell revealed. The OUAT star further explained in an ETOnline interview that the Snow Queen just wants to be loved.

However, Elizabeth Mitchell admitted that the Snow Queen is just going about getting love the wrong way. The actress explained that her character is only searching for love but no one really taught her how to love in order to get love in return.

Another possibility that OUAT cast member Elizabeth Mitchell looks forward to in season 4 is more interactions between the Snow Queen and another villain character, Rumpelstiltskin (Robert Carlyle), in the upcoming episodes. The former "Lost" star confessed that it is fun to see two characters fight each other like watching a game of chess.

"Once Upon a Time" Season 4 airs on Sundays nights at 8 p.m. ET/PT on ABC.
