The notebook also equips an ISO-compliant backlit keyboard and a Wacom-enabled active pen.

The latest Latitude 7000 series laptop, meanwhile, boasts of a high-end tablet and a detachable keyboard design, which should make it an ideal PC for on-the-go professionals that need lightweight hardware. The 1.5-pound (0.68-kilogram) hybrid is also the world’s first 2-in-1 notebook with wireless charging capabilities. That feature, however, needs additional US$580 (AU$760) worth of accessories for it to be fully taken advantage by users.

“Integrating WiTricity’s magnetic resonance wireless charging technology, the device is built to transform any workspace into a clutter-free environment,” according to Dell. “When combined with a charging mat and WiGig wireless dock (sold separately), users can quickly remove the 2-in-1 from the mat without the need to unplug any cables and easily return it to the mat to automatically recharge and connect to additional wireless peripherals such as a display, wireless keyboard and mouse.”
