Despite their amicable split, a new report is claiming that a third party might have been the real reason behind the shocking split of Jordin Sparks and Jason Derulo. With Jason Derulo saying he's still friends with Jordin Sparks and "American Idol" winner claiming she's happy that the relationship at least happened and she had no regrets, fans had no reason to speculate they broke up because of a third party. However, model Carmen Ortega is claiming otherwise, admitting Jason went out with her while still together with Jordin.

"We dated for a month," Carmen told Star Magazine. "We went out in public with friends a few times, so I assumed he didn't have a girlfriend."

However, according to Carmen, when she did become aware of the situation--that he's in a serious relationship and who Jason's girlfriend is--she did not think twice of cutting ties with him. Carmen also washed her hands of the cheating incident because she claimed she was also lied to the whole time. Carmen said Jason tried to tell him that he and Jordin were only seeing each other because of their management teams.

Mail Online UK, however, questions Carmen's credibility or the veracity of her confessions. The site says that Carmen has done the same thing before when she claimed she and Reggie Bush had an affair while Reggie was still together with Kim Kardashian.

Even before this new report came out, however, Jason already clarified the split and said the reason was not a third party. He told ABC News that "infidelity, cheating or deceit played no part in our relationship or our breakup, and I hope that people respect our privacy as we move forward with our lives."

Regardless of whether cheating occurred, it seems that Jordin Sparks is already trying to move on from the heartbreak. She's currently working on a new album, the singer confirms to Hollywood Life. The singer said writing the songs was therapeutic and that she's very connected to the songs in the album.
