A new star is added to the cast of CBS longtime running soap opera "The Bold and The Beautiful" (B&B) as executive producer and head writer Bradley Bell announces Australian actress Ashleigh Brewer is joining the cast, which also happens to follow the soap's nomination for the International TV Audience Awards.

According to a report from Soap Opera Network, Bradley Bell has recently introduced Ashleigh Brewer as the new addition to the cast of 'B&B'.

Brewer, an actress born in Brisbane, is known for her role in the TV drama series "Neighbours" as Kate Ramsay. Her other projects were also both TV series namely "The Sleepover Club" and "H20: Just Add Water."

"We are thrilled to introduce Ashleigh at the [Monte Carlo Television Festival], whose poise and talent are already well known in Australia and the UK," Bradley Bell announces.

"Ivy is the daughter of Eric's younger brother, John Forrester, who has been living in Sydney. A young, worldly designer, Ivy is brought in to work on the new Hope for the Future jewelry line. It won't be long before she finds herself deeply entangled in the lives and loves of our younger generation," Bradley Bell further explains.

"The Bold and The Beautiful" has received its ninth consecutive nomination for the International TV Audience Awards and is now considered to be one of the TV programmes which has garnered the highest number of viewers from around the world in 2013.

Grimaldi Forum considers the festival, which happens from June 7 to June 11, as a "unique competition" that challenges TV programmes worldwide in exchange of a Golden Nymph award.

According to the festival's official Web site, the event features the launch of new series and sneak peeks of upcoming episodes. There are also press events, which are going to be attended by more than 200 journalists from around the world. But what makes the event more exciting is the meet and greet throughout the festival wherein a true exchange happens to stars and fans.

Ashleigh Brewer is said to be joining other "The Bold and The Beautiful" cast members Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), Thorsten Kaye (Ridge Forrester), Kim Matula (Hope Logan) and Darin Brooks (Wyatt Spencer) to attend as guests to Monte Carlo Television Festival's Honorary President HSH Prince Albert II of Monaco.

The Australian actress is reportedly set to appear on 'B&B' in July as Ivy Forrester, niece of Eric Forrester, who at press time is being played by John McCook.
