Everyone’s favourite family of cops deals with intense showdowns and heated conflicts on this Friday’s episode of “Blue Bloods.” In the seventh installment of Season 7, titled “Guilt By Association,” Frank (Tom Selleck) goes face to face with the Attorney General’s office over a highly sensitive issue that puts the NYPD in the spotlight once again.

“Lucifer” actor Michael Imperioli returns in the upcoming episode to reprise his role as Robert Lewis, who works at the Attorney General’s office. He joins other “Blue Bloods” cast members who will appear prominently on the Nov. 4 run including Erin (Bridget Moynahan), Danny (Donnie Wahlberg), Jamie (Will Estes), Henry (Len Cariou), Linda (Amy Carlson), Nicky (Sami Gayle), Det. Maria Baez (Marisa Ramirez) and Officer Eddie Janko (Vanessa Ray).

According to TV Guide, Friday’s episode features Frank as finds himself with a hard decision: whether to help out in the Attorney General’s investigation of the police’s use of excessive force. Meanwhile, Eddie and Jamie deal with a call about an attempted suicide. Danny, on the other hand, is not happy when he is forced to work with Anthony to solve the murder of one witness just before testifying.

CBS has posted a sneak peek of the Nov. 4 episode of “Blue Bloods” on its official site. In the trailer, Robert tells Frank that they are opening an investigation into the NYPD’s use of force. “You have no idea what you’re up against,” Robert warns him.

At the Reagans’ dinner table, Frank’s latest dilemma becomes a topic of discussion. “Every election starts on investigations like this one,” Henry comments. Later, Frank is on the hot seat at a press conference. Someone from the media asks him whether the police are targeting minorities, but Frank declines to answer.

“Guilt By Association” is directed by Robert Harmon and written by Siobhan Byrne O’Connor.
