Beyonce Knowles' Sister Solange Knowles Gets Married To Alex Ferguson, Jay-Z Attends The Wedding Ceremony Wearing White

Solange Knowles' marriage will be remembered for a long time for breaking tradition, as the entire Knowles family turned up at the ceremony wearing white, including her famous elder sister, Beyonce Knowles, rapper brother-in-law, Jay-Z, and their daughter Blue Ivy. Solange, 28, has tied the knot with her video director boyfriend Alan Ferguson, 51, on Sunday, Nov. 16, at Marigny Opera House in New Orleans.

The bride and the bridegroom arrived at the wedding venue riding a white, vintage bike. Solange was wearing a low-cut, cream-coloured pantsuit. "Beaming. Calm. They looked pretty calm, relaxed on their wedding day. Definitely happy," an onlooker told People.

For the wedding ceremony, according to Vanity Fair, Solange wore an elegant caped white Humberto Leon for Kenzo gown. The gold cuffs accentuated the look. Vogue has reported that a favourite song of the now married couple, a "symphonic instrumental of Donny Hathaway's, "I Love the Lord, He Heard My Cry"," played, as the bride walked down the aisle.

Also, according to Vogue, musicians Kelela, Questlove, and Kindness performed at the ceremony. The highlight of the ceremony, however, was a dance-off between Solange and her ten-year-old son, Daniel Julez Smith, to the song "No Flex Zone." "Everyone I worked with on the wedding are friends who I love. Everything was a labour of love," Solange said to Vogue.

On Instagram, Solange, who is a singer, songwriter, model and D.J, posted a beautiful, intimate moment of herself and her husband. She said in the caption that the wedding day was the "best day" of her life. She also wrote that it ended with an "abundance of peace, love over flowing through me like never before. Words only understate the feelings I experienced , but I want to thank you for all of your beautiful sentiments. I'm now one, with the one."

Solange was previously married to Daniel Smith, the father of her son Julez. She got married to him in 2004 when she was 17 years old and he was 19 years old. The two separated in 2007.
