Hailed as Miss Grand International fourth runner-up, Miss Australia Kelly Louise Maguire delivers an outstanding performance in the first ever Miss Grand International pageant. The pageant's coronation night concluded with Miss Puerto Rico Janelee Chaperro bested 74 other candidates from all parts of the world who are all vying for the crown.

The 26-year-old beauty queen was born in the northern beaches of Sydney and she is an accomplished academic with the Master's Degree in International Relations. She also have a Journalism degree and currently working in radio. An experienced runway model, Maguire still holds the passion for modelling and joining in beauty contests is one way to perfect her catwalk skills.

She believes that life is an amazing journey and this is the reason why she loves traveling, learning languages and other cultures. She loves spending her time in the great outdoor doing various sports like skiing (both on water and on snow), swimming and rock climbing. She also speaks fluent French and Spanish.

Since the pageant aims to end wars in the world, the contestants are given the opportunity to give their opinion about the pageant's campaign "Stop The War," here's her answer taken from Miss Grand International website.

"As I'm doing my master's degree by research, I've had extensive time to reflect on international borders and how these are impacted or altered by political agendas. Although I come from a relatively peaceful country that has never been afflicted by civil war, it's important to recognise Australians have fought in numerous international conflicts over the past century - arguably a few of which we should have had no part. The egregious loss of life is horrific, and as decades fly by the reasons for warfare appear to become increasingly abstract. By perpetuating international disputes we appear to be playing into the hands of those whose interest is the unrest of a region due to reasons beyond our comprehension as mere observers. In addition to this, I believe it muddies the idea of nation sovereignty, which opens an unnecessary can of worms in terms of international politics and power plays. Ultimately, no matter which war we speak of and how big it is, you cannot continue to fight and expect to attain peace."

She plans to write a book in the near future, documenting all her experience while traveling through life and taking into account her experiences in pageants and in modelling. Here's Kelly Louise's national and international titles.
