“Ant-Man,” the new upcoming film by Marvel, will have a lot of fun and humour in the story, said cast-member Bobby Cannavale. The “Boardwalk Empire” actor said that the fun element in the film would be similar to that of the “Guardians of the Galaxy.” The actor plays the character of Paxton, a friend con-man Scott Lang (Paul Rudd's “Ant-Man” alter-ego) in the upcoming film.

When Marvel released the first trailer of “Ant-Man,” it was assumed that the film will have a comic tone to it. But the fans were left a little confused with a second trailer that had a slightly serious tone. However the new details by actor Cannavale reveal that the film will be comic in nature, just like “Captain America” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” is.

In an exclusive interview with Collider, the 44-year-old actor talked about his character and said that the whole story of “Ant-Man” is fresh and has a lot of new characters. “That was a really cool experience, because as big as that movie is and really as big a production as that was, the actual work in the scenes were really fun,” the actor is quoted as saying by Collider.

While on the sets of “Ant-Man,” Cannavale felt like he was working on an “indie film.” He also had a lot of scenes with with Rudd and actress Judy Greer. The actor also told the website that the script was completely re-written by Adam McKay and Rudd in a way that the scenes looked comic. The original script of the film was written by Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish. “It really felt like a comedy that we were doing,” added the actor.

“Ant-Man” is directed by Peyton Reed and will also star Corey Stoll, Evangeline Lilly and Michael Pena. The website also said that “Ant-Man” could be “the most comedy-heavy Marvel film to date.” “Ant-Man” tells the story of a man who dons a special suit that helps him shrink in size and increase his power. “Ant-Man” is scheduled to release in the UK and U.S. on July 17.
