Judy Greer spoke about her new film "Ant-Man" on Sunday. The actress, who is known for her roles in "Arrested Development" and "Two and a Half Man," will play the ex-wife to Ant-Man/Scott Lang and mother to his daughter Cassie. Her relationship with her daughter will play a pivotal part in the film's plot line.

According to Greer, "Ant-Man" is the first comic hero she has "fallen for." "I also think the Ant-Man origin story that we tell in our movie is really beautiful and I think there's something really real about a man trying to better himself for his family," she added, according to IGN. Paul Rudd plays the role of Ant-Man in the film, and according to Greer, the former has done a great job in the role. The film reportedly has a lot of comedy elements, and the actors did comedy improvisation on the sets. Greer also said she is yet to see the film's trailer.

"Ant-Man" tells the story of con man Scott Lang, who was given the ability to shrink and increase his strength. Lang embraces his inner powers and helps his creator Dr. Hank Pym "plan and pull off a heist that will save the world." Peyton Reed directed the film, and Adam McKay and Rudd wrote the screenplay. The film also stars Evangeline Lilly, Corey Stoll, Bobby Cannavale, Michael Peña, Tip "T.I" Harris, David Dastmalchian, Wood Harris, Jordi Mollà and Michael Douglas. The principal photography took place in San Francisco, and some of the scenes were also shot in Pinewood Atlanta Studios in Fayette County, Georgia. The film, which finished shooting in December 2014, was initially planned to be released in Marvel's Phase III; however, later the film was scheduled for Phase II release.

As mentioned, Ant-Man will shrink and to make those scenes, realistic macro photography and motion-capture technology were used. Camera and lenses that turn small areas into epic landscape have been reportedly used.

The film is scheduled for release on July 17, 2015. The film is based on Ant-Man comic Marvel comic by Stan Lee.
