AT&T has been very prompt in sending out the Android 5.0/5.0.1 Lollipop update for many of its handsets. And now, the AT&T models of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy Note 3 are apparently receiving the Lollipop update. In addition, the Samsung Galaxy S4 is now receiving the minor Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update with an upgraded KNOX version.

AT&T has reportedly uploaded documentation for the Lollipop update on its Website. Most importantly, the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has apparently been initiated and it is currently being sent out in batches. Notably, the size of the software package stands at 1.2 GB. Therefore, the Galaxy Note 4 users are advised to opt for a reliable Wi-Fi connection prior to downloading the update, notes GSM Arena.

In addition to the common features that Lollipop update bring in, this software update also reportedly offers several stability improvements and service additions like Find My Mobile and Reactivation lock. It is worth noting that, after installing the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update, the build number should reportedly read the following: LRX22C.N910AUCU1COC2. On the other hand, readers can also manually download the update by navigating to Settings -> About device -> Software update.

Android 5.0.1 Lollipop Update For Samsung Galaxy S4

The 2013 flagship Galaxy S4 with model number I9500 was apparently updated to the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS during early 2015 time-frame. And the update was reportedly quite sizeable at 1.05 GB. But now, the minor update of the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for Samsung Galaxy S4 with the bumped up version of Samsung KNOX v1.0+ from v2.0+ has been rolled out in India, according to GSM Arena.
