Samsung is apparently gearing up to release the Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update for Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy S5 Mini and Galaxy Note 2. Reportedly, Samsung’s official Websites pertaining to Finland and Denmark have listed down details on the devices that are targeted for the next round of Lollipop roll out. On the other hand, Sony and HTC have apparently scheduled the Lollipop update for Xperia Z, non-Z series of devices and HTC One M7/M8.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Galaxy Alpha, Galaxy Note 2, Galaxy S5 Mini

Users from many countries across the globe have already received the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note Edge, Galaxy Note 3, Galaxy S5, Galaxy S5 Active and Galaxy S4. In the meantime, You Mobile has apparently ferreted out information to corroborate that the mid-range Samsung Galaxy Alpha will also receive the impending update. Plus, the official Samsung Websites say, the South Korean tech giant will be rolling out Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Galaxy Note 2 and Galaxy S5 Mini, notes GSM Arena.

The Android 5.0.1 Lollipop update release date pertaining to the aforesaid Galaxy models is apparently set for late 2015. In hindsight, Samsung’s French Website reportedly noted that the Galaxy S5 Mini will receive the Lollipop update in Q2 2015. GSM Arena opines that, all three handsets could be receiving the update at the same time-frame. Also it is worth noting that, it’s been 2.5 years since the release of the well-received monster Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Even then, Samsung has not abandoned the once-famous handset yet, notes the same site.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For HTC One M7, HTC One M8

HTC VP of Product Management, Mo Versi, has apparently confirmed that the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for HTC One M7 under AT&T. Starting Tuesday, the One M7 owners via AT&T network will receive the Lollipop update. In addition, the HTC One M8 will reportedly receive the Android 5.0 Lollipop update from April 6, notes Phone Arena.

Android 5.0 Lollipop Update For Sony Xperia Non-Z Series Of Devices

Phone Arena says, along with the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact, Sony has apparently rolled out the update for Z2 Tablet, Z3 Tablet Compact and the Xperia Z2 handset. Plus, the Lollipop update will reportedly be rolled out to Xperia Z smartphone as well. But now, the tech giant has reportedly confirmed that the Xperia C3 and Xperia T2 Ultra will be receiving the Lollipop update soon. It is worth reminding that, Sony earlier stated that the company will only update Xperia Z series of devices. In any case, Sony has not published the exact roll out date except for the promising update of "stay tuned for timings,” notes Sony Mobile.
