Jordin Sparks looked stunning at the 2014 American Music Awards. The 24-year-old R&B singer and Season 6 "American Idol" winner also debuted the nose piercing she got back in October, after her much-publicised split from longtime boyfriend, Jason Derulo.

During this year's American Music Awards, Jordin Sparks stunned onlookers with her bronze metallic dress that showed a lot of cleavage and sexy-looking strappy heels that highlighted her legs. Her outfit accentuated the hard work she put in since 2012, the year where she lost a total of 85 lbs. She went light with her accessories and instead decided to pull people's attention toward her shiny new accessory: the septum piercing she got last month. It could be remembered that back in the VMAs 2008, she stirred some controversy when she showed up accessorised with another type of ring, a purity ring that she has now ditched.

Her new accessory was literally a pain to get. It was reported that she endured great pain to get the piercing done and that she even had to sit through two tries before the ring could go all the way through her septum. For all the pain and trouble that procedure caused her, the "Tattoo" singer got a $30 discount. This is not the first time that Jordin got some piercings, though. She already had one side of her nose pierced before this septum piercing and some more holes in her ears. She also has several tattoos on her body.

Many speculated that she got the new ring because of her split with Jason Derulo. The two shocked their fans, who believed that they were made for each other, when they broke up after three years. There were no signs of fighting and conflict between the two. Before she got the piercing, Jordin planned to pour her emotions on her songs. She spent some time tweeting about being back in the studio and promoting her film, "New Behind." Ironically, that is what Jason Derulo said he would be doing too--writing songs about the breakup, as he reportedly could not separate his professional and personal lives.
