‘Adventure Time’ miniseries revealed Susan Strong’s origin

New “Adventure Time” miniseries titled “Islands” promises to answer fans’ biggest question about what happens to humanity. There was a time when it was made to appear that Finn was the only human in the magical land of Ooo. But the sophomore season of the show has been a game changer when Susan Strong (Jackie Buscarino) has taken the spotlight. Through the miniseries, viewers have finally learned where she came from and it is a not so happy story.

“Adventure Time” season 2 did not officially confirm if Susan is really a human. Fans were sure that she was in season 3. However, the show has revealed where she was from.

Susan was found in a deserted island that was once a home for humans. Finn (Jeremy Shada) and Jake (John DiMaggio) were the ones who found her. She was found to be nomadic as she retraced her steps and her memories came back.

The miniseries has revealed that Susan’s real name is not actually Susan, but Kara. Moreover, she does not usually speak in Hulk-like English. As a little kid, she has trained to become a seeker. A seeker is one who tracks down and stops anyone who has an intention to escape and head to the outside world. Susan has trained alongside Dr Gross (Lennon Parham), who has served as her teacher.

Everything was doing well with Kara’s training until one of her friends got interested about knowing what can be found in the outside world. That goes against the job of Kara.

But she could not help but assist her friend see what lies in a different world. Kara is one who would do anything in the name of friendship, even if that means going against what she was training for.

By the time Kara was about to go on a voyage with her friend to see what’s in the outside world, Dr Gross was quick to interfere. Kara has been controlled by her teacher with the cybernetic implant Dr Gross has planted to her head. “Adventure Time” viewers would recognise him as a cybernetic character.

Inverse notes that Susan was forced to crush the dream of her friend by the time she was controlled by Dr Gross. It was a sad scene. Kara has managed to escape the land of Ooo. Since then, she lived as Susan. “Adventure Time: Islands” has aired in Australia through Cartoon Network.
