Similar to Xiaomi Mi4, the Chinese handset Meizu MX4 has been making waves online with high-end features complemented by an affordable price tag. The Meizu MX4 smartphone can now be ordered from selected countries including North America, Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Africa and Asia.

The recent addition to Asia is Malaysia where the handset retails for RM 1,048 that roughly translates to The CEO of Meizu, Bai Yongxiang, denoted that a thumping 7.7 million MX4 units have been pre-ordered within a short duration. In the U.S., the device is priced at for a 16 GB model and for a 32 GB variant. Potential buyers should note that, the prices mentioned above include shipping charges and import tax, according to GSM Arena.

When it comes to key specifications, the MX4 comes with a good 5.3-inch IPS LCD display complemented by a killer resolution of 1,920 x 1,152 pixels and 418 ppi pixel density. Moreover, the device is powered by an octa-core (MediaTek MT6595) chipset with big.LITTLE architecture clocked at a combination of four Cortex-A17 cores at 2.2 GHz and four more Cortex-A7 cores at 1.7 GHz. The handset is backed by a solid 2 GB of RAM. Also, the smartphone runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS along with Meizu's own Flyme v4.0 UI on top of it.

As far as camera goes, the MX4 houses a killer 20.7 MP Sony Exmor RS rear-facing unit with dual-LED (dual tone) flash, similar to the Sony Xperia Z3's. The camera can record 4K videos and it also sports a 2 MP front-facing snapper for selfies. In addition to the standard connectivity options like Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and USB port, the phone also supports 4G LTE. The other significant feature is the killer 3100 mAh battery unit equipped on the handset. Plus, the handset comes in gold, gray and white colours.

Moving to size details, the smartphone is 0.35-inch thick and weighs 147 g. The device comes with three storage choices 16/32/64 GBs in China. Interestingly, Meizu MX4's 64 GB variant is not available for international customers. Also, there is no microSD card support for expansion.
