Xiaomi has finally launched the Mi Pad tablet and the Redmi 2 smartphone in India. And apparently, both the devices will be released on March 24.

Speaking of price, the Xiaomi Redmi 2 will reportedly set the buyers back by approximately $112, while the Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet will cost roughly $208. As far as the key Xiaomi Mi Pad specifications go, the device reportedly features a 7.9-inch IPS display with 2,048 x 1,536 pixels resolution. Under the hood, the tablet is powered by the superior NVIDIA Tegra K1 chipset and backed by a good 2 GB of RAM configuration. On the software side, the Mi Pad tablet runs on Android KitKat OS with Xiaomi’s MIUI 6 on top of it. When it comes to memory configuration, there is 16 GB of internal storage capacity with microSD card slot for further expansion. Moreover, the rear-facing camera unit is an 8 MP sensor. And lastly, the Xiaomi Mi Pad houses a killer 6,700 mAh battery unit to keep the tablet powered on, says GSM Arena.

Moving on to the Xiaomi Redmi 2 specifications, the smartphone features a pocket-friendly 4.7-inch HD display and importantly, AGC Dragontrail Glass has reportedly been used for extra protection. The device is powered by a 64-bit, quad-core (Qualcomm Snapdragon 410) processor. With respect to the memory configuration, the Redmi 2 comes equipped with 8 GB and 16 GB of internal storage capacities. Speaking of RAM configuration, users will apparently be given a choice to choose between 1 GB of RAM for the 8 GB storage version and 2 GB of RAM for the 16 GB storage model. And as expected, the device runs on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS with MIUI 6.

As far as the camera specifications go, the Redmi 2 sports an 8 MP primary unit with LED flash and a 2 MP shooter at the front. When it comes to battery, the device features a 2,200 mAh unit. And apparently, the Redmi 2 features two 4G SIM slots to provide dual-SIM configuration. Also it is worth noting that, the handset reportedly comes with MEMS microphones guaranteeing good voice calling quality, notes GSM Arena.
