A Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 leak has created quite a furore on the Internet. Due to some newly uncovered promotional material, the handset has been leaked in China. The leak has revealed that the Mi Pad 3 will sport a 9.7-inch display with a screen resolution of 2,048 x 1,536 pixels. Thus, it will be bigger than both its predecessors and also match Apple’s 9.7-inch iPad Pro in both resolution and size.

In terms of size, dimensions and weight too, the Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 is a bit thinner, lighter and narrower than the Apple device. It is powered by Intel's 7th Gen Core m3-7Y30 processor, 8GB RAM and integrated Intel HD Graphics 615 GPU. Xiaomi fans will get a choice with respect to the storage variant. The Mi Pad 3 is available in 128GB and 256GB internal storage variants, reports GSMArena. Details about the ultrasonic fingerprint sensor are not yet known.

Other top features include USB Type-C port for fast charging and data transfer, a mega 8,290 mAh battery and Windows 10 operating system. It has a 16MP rear camera with dual-tone LED flash and an 8MP front camera. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 3 leak does not mention an Android version of the device. Hence, it is unclear whether there will be one anytime soon.

Having said that, the Mi Pad 2 did have two OS versions and therefore, the same can be true for Xiaomi Mi Pad 3. The device comes in a full-metal build and the dual speaker grilles are at the bottom. As per the leak, the Mi Pad 3 will release on Dec. 30 costing ¥1,999 (AU$400) for the 128GB storage and ¥2,299 (AU$450) for the 256GB version.
