Xbox One holiday update: LFG and Clubs launched with video tutorial

The most awaited Xbox One's holiday update arrived on Thursday featuring Looking for Group (LFG), Clubs, Achievement Rarity, Group Messaging, Gamerscore Leaderboard improvement and emoji for the virtual keyboard.

With the holiday update, Xbox Live users will be able to reach a broader community, giving them access to more people that shares the same interest.

LFG for Xbox Live allows players to quickly find other players who want to play the same game. It allows players to customise the search result by indicating the game mode, the number of people needed, the game level or gear requirements and the character type. Players can also specify the language to be used in the game. A player can also set rules requiring a casual friendly environment and prohibiting trash talking.

Clubs on Xbox Live allows all players to create and manage groups. Club admins are equipped with tools that help everyone in the club to feel a lively and inclusive environment. Alongside, club members can share content, set up parties and play games. The Club allows players to communicate easily with the Club across Xbox One and the Xbox app through voice and text chat.

Achievement Rarity allows players to discover the uniqueness of the Achievement among players of a given game. Players can also earn rare Achievement that comes with a special notification.

Group Messaging on Xbox Live allows players to send a single group message to everyone in a single conversation. It works across Xbox One and Xbox app. A new predictive dictionary is also added which can be accessed on the controller's right thumb stick.

The Gamerscore Leaderboard now resets at the beginning of each month unlike before which displayed results for a 30-day rolling period. Emojis for the Xbox One virtual keyboard are another feature provided in the holiday update.
