'X-Factor Australia' Season 7 Contender In Stereo performs during fourth Live Decider show Twitter/X-Factor Australia

The live decider show of “X-Factor Australia” season 7 on Tuesday night saw another boy group leave as In Stereo was voted off the competition. Meanwhile, Cyrus Villanueva was declared safe after a highly criticised rock performance on Monday.

Two members from Guy Sebastian’s team faced off in Tuesday’s “X-Factor Australia” live decider show. The three member boy band, In Stereo, and the singing duo, Jess and Matt, landed at the bottom two, according to Yahoo. Jess and Matt opted to sing Ed Sheeran’s “Thinking Out Loud” while In Stereo sang a cover of Plain White T’s “Hey There Delilah.”

Unfortunately, In Stereo’s performance was not good enough to keep them in the competition. “X-Factor Australia” judges Dannii Minogue, James Blunt and Chris Isaak all voted to send the group home. In Stereo’s mentor, Sebastian, was saved from choosing between the boy group and the duo Jess and Matt, given the three unanimous votes.

In Stereo’s elimination garnered mixed reactions from viewers of “X-Factor Australia” season 7, with a few fans taking to the show’s official Twitter account to voice their opinions. Twitter user Talia wrote, “@instereomusic they shouldn't have gone home,” with fan Sarah Arnold agreeing that “[In Stereo] don’t deserve to go home.”

However, a few fans think that In Stereo leaving “X-Factor Australia” is the right move. Twitter user Sandy wrote “I don't think they are ready. Another 12 months of hard work and they'll be better for it.”

Twitter user cjm also described the group as “the weakest act left,” a description that Rickey.org also used. Nick Roman, a reporter from Rickey, stated that the judges’ decision was ultimately the “right call.” He wrote, “In Stereo were the weakest act from last night, and they’d pretty much run their course on the series anyhow.”

Meanwhile, fans voted to keep the aspiring Filipino-Australian singer, Villanueva, safe in season 7 of the competition, despite “X-Factor Australia” judges not impressed with his Monday rock performance. The singer’s mentor Isaak also received criticisms from fellow judges for his poor song choice, where Isaak and Blunt even got into a heated argument during Monday’s show.

Only six contenders are left on the season 7 of “X-Factor Australia” namely Louise Adams, Big T, Michaela Baranov, Natalie Conway, Villanueva and the duo Jess and Matt.

The next episode of “X-Factor Australia” will air on Monday at 7:30 p.m.
