When Dannii Minogue’s talent, Cat Vas, was sent home, the 27-year-old hopeful caused some stir on "X-Factor Australia." For many, it was not her time to go. Some were plain frustrated with the results, while others say it’s bad luck. For Cat Vas, she’s just “glad it’s over.”

A very emotional Cat Vas got booted in the last elimination round of the “X-Factor Australia.” Despite her great performance of "Unchained Melody" on the performance night, Sunday, the other judges chose Redfoo’s contestant, Joelle.

Cat Vas was reportedly ill on the day she took the stage for performance night. For some, her illness must have sealed her fate on "X-Factor Australia." She was shown crying in many occasions the night she was eliminated. She was emotional even before the results were given. But the aspiring singer said she’s just happy her journey ended as it did.

“I cry a lot, so it wasn’t because I was devastated because I really wasn’t [laughs]. It’s been a really intense few months, and it was a release because it’s all over. I feel great this morning,” Cat Vas said in an "X-Factor Australia" interview after her elimination, according to Pop Sugar Australia.

She admitted it took her some time to process the result, but at the end of the day, she said things could not be better for her.

“I didn’t sleep last night — I was processing everything. I feel like there are way too many positives that outweigh the one negative, which is going home second. Being top 11 in Australia is crazy. So I’m really happy and grateful,” Cat Vas added.

“I’ve been trying to succeed in the music industry for such a long time. It always comes in waves — an amazing opportunity comes, and then it drops away. You can’t let it rock you, rock your emotions and take your happiness. It’s just a job. I am honestly fine, and really excited. I’m loving today.”

Cat Vas is one of the stronger contenders in the "X-Factor Australia." Her friends, she described, have been shocked at how she got emotional on the show.

“They show me crying all the time. My friends are like, 'You’re not even a crier! You’re the strongest chick we know.' It’s not tears of being sad and happy. It’s just such a rollercoaster, and at the end of each day you just need to release. It’s so full on. But it’s fantastic and I’m glad I’ve experienced it. I’ve enjoyed the ups and the downs, and making it to where I did is beyond what I ever imagined. I wasn’t even going to audition because I thought, ‘There’s no way I’m going to get through! I’m going to embarrass myself.’ To get as far as I did, I’m stoked,” she said.
