Celebrity author George RR Martin has shared a new update on the progress of his highly anticipated upcoming book “Winds of Winter,” but the fans may not like what he had to say. Martin has multiple new projects to focus on, which may distract him from completing the book soon.

The wait for “Winds of Winter” has already been a long one, but there may be more delay, thanks to the hectic workload of Martin. Ina recent blog post about the publication of another “Wild Cards” novel, which is also one of Martin’s series, the author touched upon his more popular “A Song of Ice and Fire” series.

“I better go. Lots more to do today. Believe it or not, I am working hard on a lot of things (yes, including WINDS), even though I am not allowed to talk about most of them. Eventually, I hope, you’ll all be able to enjoy the fruits of my labors. I hope…” Martin wrote in the post.

Martin tagged the long post with a “current mood” as “busy.” The author has different studios developing his novels for different TV shows. The author is also keeping himself well informed about the multiple “Game of Thrones” spin-offs that are currently being developed at HBO, although only one of them has been give the green signal.

While it may be disappointing to note that Martin has too much work to finish, which may delay the release of “Winds of Winter,” on the bright side readers should note that the write is using his time productively, as he is working hard to bring more content to his fans. As the author says, however, it remains to be seen if the fans will love all his work just as much as they do the “Game of Thrones” series and books.
