On August 5, director Lee Daniels premiered his latest film. With a star-studded, red carpet-ready cast it was hard to pick who was best dressed at "The Butler" premiere in New York City.

Oprah loves the giant afro on her latest O Magazine cover so much that the Oscar hopeful's premiere look seemed inspired by that gorgeous head of hair! With just a thin headband on her crown, Oprah let her curls loose. She dazzled the crowd in a pink sequined custom Theia sheath and a matching woven clutch. This was great for Oprah - simple silhouette, maximum shine.

She may be playing Jackie Kennedy onscreen, but at "The Butler" premiere, Minka Kelly steered clear of the fashion icon's go-to sheath dresses. Instead, the beautiful actress kept it long and flowing in a one-shoulder Sophie Theallet printed dress. Minka complemented her summer evening outfit with wavy hair pulled back into a ponytail, flawless makeup, Brian Atwood heels, and stunning leaf motif Irene Neuwirth earrings.

Mariah Carey was also best dressed at "The Butler" premiere. Eye-catching sling aside, the "American Idol" judge's Tom Ford dress showed off her curves without it being overly snug, and her bow-embellished Valentino peep-toes were adorable.

Also wearing black at the premiere was Naomi Watts. The "Diana" star supported Live Schreiber who plays Lyndon B. Johnson in "The Butler." Naomi kept it low-key in a Thakoon jumpsuit and simple Givenchy sandals.

Acclaimed actress and fitness guru Jane Fonda showed everyone how it's done. Jane was best dressed at "The Butler" premiere. The 75-year-old oozed style and confidence. Her fully sequined blazer was everything! She paired the dazzling piece with coated, skinny trousers. Jane's boots felt a little heavy for the summer, but no matter. With her coiffed hair and strands of pearls, Jane Fonda ruled the red carpet.
