“Vikings” season 4 episode 18 will witness the greatest ever army in the history of show battling it out to avenge Ragnar’s (Travis Fimmel) death. His sons have collaborated for the mission. However, the fight for power is still on.

In the latest promo of the 18th episode, Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig) is seen claiming all the powers. He wants to be the leader of the great army. “I will establish the battle plan and I will give the orders. I am the leader of this great army,” he declares. The scene also shows Ivar (Alex Hogh Andersen) smiling wickedly at this. Will Bjorn be successful in convincing his brothers about leading the troop (just like he led them to not kill Lagertha, played by Katheryn Winnick) or will Ivar fight for the power, remains to be seen.

Bjorn and Ivar’s relationship is similar to that of Ragnar and Rollo

In “Vikings” season 4 episode 18, the relationship between Bjorn and Ivar is going to be one of the most sought after things. While in an interview, Alexander Ludwig had earlier revealed that Bjorn and Ivar’s relationship will reflect the one that Ragnar and Rollo (Clive Standen) used to share.

“You can look forward to a similar relationship that Ragnar and Rollo had, in terms of the struggle for power,” he told Toronto Sun when he was asked if the brothers were on collision course. This implies that Ivar will not let Bjorn become the leader so easily. He will fight back.

If Bjorn and Ivar have become the shadow of Ragnar and Rollo, Ivar seems more similar to Ragnar. He is intelligent and has learnt a lot of lessons from his father before his death. The mission is clear in his head and his approach is strategic rather than impulsive. He may not be strongest but he is definitely turning out to be smartest. Bjorn, on the other hand, shadows Rollo’s characteristics. He is a great warrior but is often impulsive.

“Vikings” season 4 episode 18 will reveal more about Bjorn and Ivar’s relationship. The episode will air on Jan.11 at 9PM ET in the US. The show also airs in Australia on SBS One at 8:30PM.
