Victoria's Secret's Candice Swanepoel Reveals What Models Really Need To Be Successful
Candice Swanepoel debunks the myth that models are airheads.
In an interview with HuffPost Live, the Victoria's Secret angel reveals that she has high regard to fellow models who have gone out of their way to start a new enterprise.
'Some of the smartest businesswomen I know are models,' said Candice.
Swanepoel also laments on the stereotype on models being dumb and unintelligent.
'There are so many beautiful girls around that you need more than that. It's really about being smart now and turning it into a business,' adds the model further.
Meanwhile, Swanepoel reveals how 'nerve-wracking' it was to open this year's Victoria's Secret Fashion Show wearing the Royal Fantasy Bra.
'You know, opening the show was really scary 'cause you kinda starting off the energy. 'his year Victoria's Secret (always) chooses amazing performers -- we have Taylor Swift, Neon Jungle... It's different every year, so that's what makes it more fun.'
Candice is more than honored to be chosen to wear the $10 million bra, which was the highlight of the entire show.
'It's more of, kind of, the legacy of it -- the fantasy of wearing it and being chosen to wear it. Not so much of its cost, because I don't get to keep it,' says Swanepoel with a laugh.
'Because it's custom-made for me, it's really special. In any model's life, it's a big moment.'
The said bra, she admits, is her favorite of all the outfits in the show, but Swanepoel clarifies that she also has favorites in the other segments.
'Every outfit is so unique, and all the segments are so different as well, so each one has a little special place to me.' says Candice to HuffPost.
The Victoria's Secret Fashion Show was previously aired in the United States over at CBS. But for the VS fans Down Under, the show airs on Sunday, Dec. 15, 8:30pm on Fox 8.
