Publicized breakups will always be a touchy subject to the people involved especially if it is the famous Hollywood actor Johnny Depp.

Nevertheless, Vanessa Paradis spoke out for the very first time about her split from her partner of 14 years in a recent interview for the French magazine Elle while promoting her latest film "Cornouaille."

Understandably, the French actress and singer did not really pour her heart out during the interview for the magazine."I don't want to talk about him," Paradis said.

"Who said that artists should sell their soul, expose everything about themselves? It's my duty to promote this movie and my albums but can you imagine what it feels like to see people making a business out of your pain. I don't have the recipe for happiness, but I think the engine is simply having the desire," the 39-year-old Paradis revealed.

Vanessa Paradis also apparently dropped some hints that there was trouble in her relationship with Johnny Depp. "Love is the strongest and most fragile thing we have in life," Paradis mused during an interview.

"Nothing is ever for sure, but when something in love doesn't work from the beginning, it's never going to work. Don't push it. When you meet the love of your life, it's just obvious and natural and easier. You keep learning all the time. Sometimes you could be in an unhappy relationship, you are very much in love with someone, but it's making you unhappy and you think things can change and you can work it out," Paradis shared.

The "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor and his partner Vanessa Paradis have agreed to separate amicably back in June.

Meanwhile, Johnny Depp and Vanessa Paradis are proud parents to their two children, 14-year old Lily Rose and 10-year old Jack."My children are grown now, they are more independent," Paradis shared.

"My daughter loves singing above all else. Jack, he's a guitarist," she revealed.

Obviously, these children will most likely follow the footsteps of their parents with their passion for acting and music. Of course, it has to be discussed first with Paradis and Depp if ever the time comes that Lily Rose and Jack will seek their approval. Fortunately, the two kids have loving parents who only wants what is best for them and their future.
