Viewers had to surprisingly say goodbye to "Supernatural" family member Kevin Tran in Season 9's Episode 9 titled "Holy Terror." In an interview at Creation Entertainment's Salute to Supernatural event in Burbank last November, actor Osric Chau may have hinted about character Kevin's poor fate as he talked about the new projects under his sleeve.

The 27-year-old actor has been busy working as a producer on other projects while filming "Supernatural" Season 9. "When I was doing those Kevin scenes, I was actually shooting my own project on the side at night, so I was really tired," shared Osric Chau in the She Knows Entertainment report.

Mr Chau currently looks forward to his new projects after his character got killed off in the CW TV series. "I have, like, seven different projects I'm doing right now. Maybe none of them will come through, but I start as many things as I can. I make it a point that I'm never the one that drops the ball, which makes it very difficult. I just don't sleep as much, which is fine," revealed the actor.

However, fans can still hope that the creators and producers of the show will find a supernatural way to bring Kevin Tran back. In an interview with TV Equals, Osric Chau recalls his journey in "Supernatural" as Kevin Tran where he had to go through some tough times.

The actor further added that he still thinks of his character as a student. "He's studying something different but deadlines are tight and he has to get it done. There's a lot on the line for him. It used to be for his own world - for academics - and now it's a world problem. It's more than just him so he has to be strung out, he has to get it done because he can't fail this test," stated Mr Chau.

Osric Chau admitted that he would love for Kevin Tran to have a stronger story arc in "Supernatural" Season 9, but the actor feels like the focus on his character comes out of nowhere. "I guess this is me developing as an actor - before I would've loved my character to do everything and be the best and be the main [attraction], but at the end of the day this is a collaboration. We're trying to make a good TV show and I can't be that selfish to think that Kevin deserves to be front and center for everything," shared Osric Chau.

"Supernatural" Season 9 returns from its holiday break with Episode 10 titled "Road Trip" scheduled to air on January 14, 2014 at 8 p.m. central time on the CW network.
