“Star Wars: Episode 9” is the last film in the new trilogy, but it is also expected to set the stage for the future films. The producers are yet to announce the title of the upcoming film, but a new theory suggests that the title could have a connection to the original trilogy.

According to a theory posted on Reddit, the title of the upcoming film could be “Star Wars: A New Order,” ComicBook.com reports. The account of the user who posted this theory online has been deleted as of this writing.

In the post, the user pointed out that the title, if chosen, is ambiguous enough to get the fans excited. The title could mean that there is a new Jedi Order that will be built, perhaps by Rey (Daisy Ridley), it could mean the New Order that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) will build after taking over the First Order, it could be about a new order of Force users, a political group that will be a blend of Light and the Dark side, and it could also suggest the rise of a new Dark side entity in the galaxy.

The title in the theory also resembles the title of “Episode 4,” which is “Star Wars: A New Hope.” This hint to the original trilogy may be important if the upcoming film becomes a link between the two set of films. There are still a lot of unanswered questions that the next film will address, and it remains to be seen if any of it has to do with the events in the original trilogy.

JJ Abrams is back at the helm to direct the upcoming film. Abrams also directed “The Force Awakens,” so it will be interesting to see how he will wrap the trilogy that he started with a lot of intriguing characters and storylines.
