Sony has not officially confirmed the Xperia Z4 release date yet, however, there are numerous rumours about a possible refreshed Z3 model dubbed the Xperia Z3 Neo. In the meantime, a new credible report states that, the upcoming Sony Xperia Z4 will sport an all-metal design instead of the traditional glass back seen in other Xperia Z series of handsets released thus far.

According to the tipster @ViziLeaks’ Twitter account, the upcoming Xperia Z4 features will include the premium-looking all-metal chassis. In addition, the Power button will reportedly go through a design change from the synonymous OmniBalance design philosophy, debuted in the first Zperia Z smartphone, notes GSM Arena. With the new design change, the Z4 will apparently house a built-in touch fingerprint scanner on the power button. The leak also confirms the Xperia Z4 release date as September 2015.

Speaking of device announcement, GSM Arena says, Sony is expected to launch the device on April 20, ahead of the LG G4 introduction on April 28. As far as the key Sony Xperia Z4 specifications go, the device is expected to feature a 5.2-inch display with either 1080p or QHD screen resolution. With respect to the hardware unit, the phone will be powered by the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 chipset and will be backed by a massive 4 GB of RAM configuration. When it comes to camera configuration, the Xperia Z4 will apparently flaunt the same 20.7 MP rear-facing sensor seen in the predecessor Xperia Z3. Plus, the handset will reportedly come with IP 68 waterproofing.

Another GSM Arena report says, the device is expected to come equipped with 32 GB or 64 GB of built-in storage options. Plus, the Sony handset will apparently measure (73 by 146 mm) or (2.87 by 5.75 inch). Adding a cherry on top, the FCC documents have apparently confirmed the presence of microSD slot on the Z4. Meanwhile, Phone Arena says, the upcoming flagship device will reportedly support a slew of LTE bands. Plus, the phone will come with a non-removable battery unit. Nonetheless, the tech giant has not confirmed the Sony Xperia Z4 specifications or release date thus far.
