Perhaps everything started when Jennette McCurdy chose not to be at the Kid's Choice Awards to accept her show's awards or was it during some racy picture of her in a sexy lingerie flooded social media or perhaps the salary issue between Ariana Grande and her, either way Nickelodeon's "Sam & Cat" is in deep trouble of being aired for Season 2.

"We are wrapping up what was an unusually long production cycle of "Sam & Cat," and everyone is understandably tired. We are going into our production hiatus next week which will give everyone on the show a much needed rest," a Nickelodeon executive said on E! Online as regards the permanent hiatus status of the show.

Although both 20-year-old Ariana and 21-year-old Jennette, are keeping mum as to the present status of their show, the two mainstays took it to their respective Twitter and Facebook accounts to air their side on the controversy that they are involved in.

"I was put in an uncomfortable, compromising, unfair situation (many of you have guessed what it is) and I had to look out for me. I chose to not go because sticking up for what is right and what is fair is what my mom taught me is ALWAYS the most important thing. I want to thank those of you who have reached out with kind words of support, McCurdians and Arianators alike. No matter who or what you support, I believe in supporting fairness first," McCurdy made these posts via Twitter to answer for her absence at the prestigious kid's awards hosted by Nickelodeon.

While many think that her "no show" stunt was because of her scandalous lingerie photo outbreak, the young actress has these to say: "My previous tweet has nothing to do with pics leaked.oh you guys lol" and "it has to do with how nickelodeon treated me. That's all. Thanks for the love."

Meanwhile, Cat Valentine (Ariana Grande's role in Sam & Cat) denies that she is earning more than her co-star." Jennette and I agreed upfront that we would be treated equally on this show in all regards." The "Baby I" singer also regards the rumor as "ridiculous and false" and that she would not bother on addressing the issue but she want to "straighten it out and try to end this nonsense."

something important that I've learned is to never apologize for a choice u make if it makes you happy. it's your life. make sure u enjoy it. — Ariana Grande (@ArianaGrande) March 31, 2014
