Celebrating the US National Dog Day, a new behind-the-scenes picture of “Outlander” season 4 has been released online. The picture shows Rollo, a new dog that will be introduced on the show this year. Cast member John Bell (Young Ian) also shared a picture of his new best friend online.

Two pups were cast to play Rollo in “Outlander” season 4, but in the end only one was chosen for the filming. The dog, known as Dewey, can be seen in a new behind-the-scenes picture from the production set [see below]. Bell is also in full costume in the picture.

The picture appears to have been taken at a town set. The Frasers will be building a new home in the American colony in North Carolina, and they will be accompanied by Young Ian. Some of the teaser pictures of the upcoming season have already shown a town that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will spend some time in, and the new picture appears to be from the set of the this town.

Bell also shared a picture on the US National Dog day. The young actor appears to be the owner of two pups, but he also shared a picture of Dewey having fun on the set. Commenting on the picture, the official Twitter account of the TV series pointed out the leaf on Dewey’s nose.

Bell has spent more than a year with the pups that were cast for the show. They have now all gruown, and they have won the hearts of all the cast and crew members of the TV series. Dewey has been described as one of the most friendly dogs.

Young Ian will meet Rollo in the American colony. The two will soon become inseparable friends. Some of the fans feel that Rollo will become the most popular cast member of the show this year.
