While Teen Choice Awards 2013 was anticipated with much tension and drama for some expected awkward moments among its nominees, including Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart, another couple, Lea Michelle and late actor, Cory Monteith and Taylor Swift and Harry Styles.

True enough, tears were shed with the emotional tribute Lea made for late actor and boyfriend, Cory Monteith. But One Direction’s Harry Styles broke the ice when he braved the stage and “twerked,” a dance move popularized by Miley Cyrus.

The English crooner had earned a hug from Miley after that, but Harry thought, that was it and never again.

Here’s what happened to Harry at the TCA 2013.

While on his way to the stage to pick up an award, he was challenged by TCA hosts Lucy Hale and Darren Criss to twerk on his way up. A nice lad as he is, Harry did.

To the amusement of the audience and his pals at One Direction. Sure his band mates Zayn Malik, Nial Horan, Louis Tomlinson and Liam Payne cheered for him, but Harry declared that he might not doing another booty twerk anytime soon.

He made his declaration on Twitter when he said: "Note to self. Don't 'twerk' (sic).'

Did Harry suddenly feel shy seeing the hysteric laughter from pal, Ed Sheeran who was with the audience too while he’s doing his Miley-move?

Ed sure had a thing or two to say about his friend.

Ed tweeted: "One more note, people need to stop encouraging little kids to twerk, it's odd.''

"Top twerker 2k7 (sic),'' Ed added and sealed the deal with a picture of Harry on stage.

But Harry may be feeling a little off following his 'twerky move', but the curly-haired singer sure came out a winner. He bagged two major awards at the Teen Choice Awards 2013. He was named the Choice Top Male Hottie and Choice for Best Smile.

The teens sure did choose right on these awards.

One Direction also received the Choice Group, Choice Summer Tour and the Choice Single for hit song, “Live While We’re Young” and Choice Love Song for “Little Things.”

Harry no doubt is a great singer. Just don’t make him Twerk again. Hear that, Miley?
