The Omate TrueSmart Smartwatch 2.0 boasted of a milestone with its Kickstarter project. This was believed the first smartwatch with the Google Services and Google Play Store.

It offers maximum access to hundreds of thousands of Android applications. It can take on Google's vast pool of Android services that require Google Services like Gmail, Hangouts, YouTube and many more. It promises to commit facility and encouragement of interaction between developers pushing the new functions of Smartwatch 2.0 and users.

However, for a device to pass the compatibility test suite of the Google Play Store, there's a minimum of 426 x 320 dp screen for the device. Omate only has 240 x 240 dp and does not meet the minimum requirements. Omate says it is still working closely with Google over the issues but until it gets resolved. Omate has introduced the "OStore."

The cradle snaps at the face of the watch and connects using a microUSB charging cable to a standard USB. This will not only charge the watch but can also transfer data to a computer.

Unlike the Galaxy Gear or the Pebble and other smartwatches in the market, the Omate TrueSmart is a full-fledged texting and calling machine and can live up to its true potential without the help of a smartphone. It is scratch and water-resistant with a unique UI that runs Android 4.2.2 Jellybean with a reasonable, Syntellia's Fleksy keyboard you can use to coherently type on a small screen.

It has a dual-core ultralow power processor and a choice of storage between 512MB/4GB and 1GB/8GB. Along with its 5MP photo and 720p video camera and speakers/mic are GPS, 2G/3G connectivity, Bluetooth 4.0, MicroSIM and Sonic Emotion Absolute 3D. The Omate TrueSmart's awesome design allows you to swap clockfaces in a diversity of styles - modern, classic, hip or minimalist. It also has the longest battery life of 600mAh in the market.
