Mary Kate Olsen and her twin sister Ashley finally addressed the issue surrounding the special of Netflix's "Full House.” Talks about the original cast playing their roles made rounds on the internet, and the twins being once again cast for their famed roles as Michelle, the youngest Tanner sister, might be a possibility.

“We just found out about it today,” said Mary-Kate relayed to Women's Wear Daily. “I guess we’re going to talk to the creators and see what’s happening.” Mary-Kate reportedly ran into her former co-star once, but the 28-year-old twins deny any prior knowledge of a reboot. They did not reject or accept the role reprisal though.

Speculations about plans for a reboot had been going on since August last year. The series, which ran a good 8 years from September 1987 to May 1995, showcased 8 seasons and 192 episodes. According to Bustle, John Stamos teased the public Monday on "Jimmy Kimmel Live" about a spinoff. The ABC show is planning to run a limited comeback to air in 2016.

The original series follows the daily life experiences of recently widowed father, Danny Tanner (played by Bob Saget). With his wife out of the picture, and with three daughters to raise, he calls on his rocker brother-in-law Jesse Katsopolis (John Stamos) and eccentric BFF Joey Gladstone (Dave Coulier) for much-needed help. Candace Cameron, Jodie Sweetin, Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen star as the Tanner daughters.

The comeback series, named "Fuller House," centers on D.J. Tanner as the new widowed parent in distress, according to E! Online. The rest of original cast are rumored be playing old roles, although a 20 year hiatus presents a clear problem.

Years had come and gone since the last episode of Full House aired, and will likely account for the challenge of engaging the public's interest once more. Despite that, the spinoff is bound to be received warmly by the public, same as the favorable reception it gained two decades ago.
