Cite the words naked man, olive oil and lubricant and chances are people who read those words would think of kinky sex practices. However, Australian police amusedly found it was a young lover's surprise for his girlfriend gone wrong.

The 20-year-old naked man from Helmer Street, Mooroopna, Melbourne, Victoria, hid inside a top-loading washing machine on Saturday. But he was the one who was surprised because he discovered he got stuck inside the machine.

The girlfriend apparently called for help and it took the police about 20 minutes to remove the red-face Romeo from his hiding place. To ease his removal, they applied olive oil on his naked body.

"It was just a game gone wrong. It would be fair to say the gentleman was very embarrassed," AFP quoted Sergeant Michelle De Araugo from the Shepparton Police Department.

The man was later transferred to the Goulburn Valley hospital for observation, but surely the rescuers allowed him to wash off the olive oil on his skin and put on some clothes first.

The incident was the second in 2014 involving washing machines and the childhood game of hide-and-seek. On the same day, a young American girl found herself in a similar situation, but in her case, rescuers used peanut butter and ice as lubricants. Based on video reports, the girl was clothed when the incident happened.
