"The Night Shift" Season 2 will air the episode titled "Parenthood" on Monday, April 13, 2015 from 10:00-11:00 p.m. EST on NBC. It will feature the show’s cast including Eoin Macken (Dr. T.C. Callahan), Jill Flint (Dr. Jordan Alexander), Robert Bailey Jr. (Dr. Paul Cummings), Brendan Fehr (Dr. Drew Alister), Freddy Rodriguez (Michael Ragosa), Jeananne Goossen (Dr. Krista Bell-Hart), Ken Leung (Dr. Topher Zia), Merle Dandridge (Gwen Gaskin), J.R. Lemon (Kenny) and Adam Rodriguez (Dr. Joseph "Joey" Chavez).

This episode is about Paul trying to help out a 9-year-old boy with cystic fibrosis. It will also have other plotlines including a shooting and a patient with psychosis.

TV Guide reports that in "Parenthood," two of Drew’s friends will be sent to the San Antonio Medical Center Emergency Room, or ER because of a shooting at an Army promotion ceremony. Drew will disarm the shooter and treat his best friend’s wife who was injured by a bullet. Aside from the injury, Drew will also discover that she has a severe medical condition.

Meanwhile, Paul will break some rules at the hospital in order to treat a kid with severe cystic fibrosis. As for Ragosa, he will deal with his devastating financial problems that could affect his daughter’s Quinceañera.

Plus, a woman with psychosis will not only endanger her life but also her father’s. T.C. and Topher will try to figure out why their patient’s psychosis continues to worsen. They will race against time to solve this case before the woman gets arrested for her violent behaviour.

The Internet Movie Database, or IMDb also reports that Adrian Acosta (Visitor), Dana Melanie (Amanda), Patrick Arrellin (Firefighters / Paramedic / EMT), Joseph Julian Soria (Javier Castro), José Zúñiga (Frank), Mercedes Renard (Gina), Akshay Patel (Hero - uncredited) and Justin D. Moore (Hospital Patient - uncredited) will make an appearance in "Parenthood."
