Peyton Manning is looking to return next season. Recent report has stated that the Denver Broncos veteran quarterback is already working out in New Orleans and looking to play in the 2015-2016 National Football League, or NFL, season according NFL Insider Ian Rapoport, who reported the news on Monday.

After the Denver Broncos failed in the postseason again last season, the 38 year old Manning was non-committal to return after feeling disappointed with the result of not winning or reaching the Super Bowl XLIX. The Broncos were dominated by the Colts in the AFC Divisional Round match-up where Manning finished with 211 passing yards on 26-of-46 completions with just one touchdown.

Manning said then that he was still processing the entire situation and will have to wait on a decision to return or not.
The recent workout is said to be part of the evaluation process of Manning, who suffered various injuries in the second half of the regular season and the NFL playoffs. Denver Broncos general manager John Elway said in January that they want Manning back even after the embarrassing loss to the Colts.

Manning has until March to decide if he wants to remain with the Broncos. If he’s on the roster by March 10, 2015, his salary, $19 million for the 2015 season will be guaranteed. If Manning returns to play for the Broncos, he’ll have a new coach in Gary Kubiak, who replaced previous head coach John Fox. It remains to be seen how Manning will play or be effective in the new offensive system of Kubiak.

Manning will be playing in his 18th NFL season if he comes back. The 14-time Pro Bowler Manning has had an illustrious NFL career already highlighted by a Super Bowl XLI victory in 2007 when he was named the Super Bowl Most Valuable Player Most Valuable Player. If Manning decides not to return, the Broncos will most likely assign Brock Osweiler, a 2012 NFL Draft second round pick as starting quarterback or Zac Desert, a quarterback who spent most of the 2014 season on the practice squad.
