Ramsay Street faces another exciting day ahead as the epic match continues between their home girl and a professional boxer. On Thursday’s episode of “Neighbours,” Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) carries on her first official fight, and spoilers suggest that she’ll somehow get a lead against her opponent. However, the stakes are high and Angelina Jackson (Sarah Howett) is not about to let a newbie defeat her just like that.

Meanwhile, Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer) makes it her personal mission to capture the person responsible for stealing her grandmother’s gnomes. Xanthe’s the one completely caught by surprise, however, when she discovers the culprit is her brother, Kyle Canning (Chris Milligan). Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the Sept. 15 episode include Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley), Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Madison Robinson (Sarah Ellen) and Sheila Canning (Colette Mann).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Thursday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Paige gets cornered by Angelina and receives numerous blows from the professional boxer. Piper, Tyler, Aaron and Toadie look pained as they see Paige being punched relentlessy inside the ring. Paige's situation appears dire -- it seems only a lucky punch would be her only hope of winning and avoiding a serious injury.

Digital Spy reports that Xanthe and Ben cook up a plan to travel together to the Gold Coast, where Madison is also headed for an audition. Despite their efforts to butter up Sheila and the Kennedys, the oldies don’t give their approval. Also, Sheila’s garden gnomes start disappearing, and Xanthe is stunned when she discovers who the thief was – her half-brother.

“Neighbours” recap

On Wednesday, Ari got bitten by his own snake and as Jack gave him first aid, the reptile turned its attention to Steph and started slithering on her leg. Mark arrived and carefully untied Steph, and the snake moved away from her. After surviving the incident, Steph had herself checked up at the hospital and was glad to hear she’s generally okay except for the shock. Mark and Steph both thanked Jack. Shortly after, Ari arrived in a wheelchair and apologised to Steph.

Paige was devastated after hearing that Brad and Lauren won’t watch her fight – they simply couldn’t see her get hurt. Later, Jack arrived at Harold’s and talked to Paige, who insisted that she had to go through the fight. He wished her luck, then walked out. The next day, Paige and Angelina butted heads even before the official fight, when Angelina insisted to have Paige’s dressing room. However, because the contract stipulated such, Paige had no choice but to move. Tyler came back just in time to see Angelina putting some mysterious powder on her knuckles. When he asked about it, she said it’s for her skin condition, but Tyler wasn’t buying it.

Tyler then told Aaron, who reckoned Angelina’s story checked out. Tyler suggested warning Paige, but Aaron didn’t want to further rattle her. Once alone, Paige took the time to talk to God, asking Him not to let her get too hurt in the fight. Angelina dropped by her room to psych her out once again. Paige looked completely shaken, and Tyler tried to comfort her. Her confidence grew, not with Tyler’s words, but with the sight of Jack amongst the crowd. “I got this,” she said. Tyler also told Jack about what he saw in the locker room, and shared that some boxers use Plaster of Paris to make their knuckles harder. Paige was called to the ring, while Jack and Tyler cheered for her. However, it’s not long before Jack bailed, saying he can’t bear watching the fight. “Please look after her,” Jack begged Tyler.

Elsewhere, Terese heard that Gary quit his job at Robinson’s. She offered to hire him, as long as he doesn’t have any more skeletons in his closet. When Terese went over to Paul’s to inform him, however, she learned about Gary’s latest case – pigeon doping. Paul gloated over the fact that the Lassiters mascot is embroiled in the scandal and was stripped off its title in the race. The next day, Terese confronted Gary, who was unable to explain what happened. They both reckoned that Paul did it, but Terese had to withdraw her job offer for Gary.

Later, Gary lashed at Paul and grilled him about drugging the pigeon. Paul denied any involvement in the pigeon doping. Xanthe, who was hearing about the whole conversation, tried to butt in. Shortly after, she and her dad went up to Terese and Xanthe admitted that she was the one who drugged Lassiters. It turned out that Xanthe thought she’s helping the bird endure the pain by giving it painkillers. Instead of being mad, Terese looked amused with Xanthe’s story. When Gary asked whether Terese could hire him again, she said it would be on a probationary status at first. She also asked him out to discuss the details of the job.
