Serious danger at Ramsay Street continues to put lives in harm’s way on the upcoming episode of “Neighbours.” On Wednesday, Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) gears up for her epic match with a boxing champ. She feels extremely nervous, still rattled by her opponent’s mind games. It also doesn’t help that her parents turn down her invitation to watch her fight. There’s no doubt about it – Paige faces a huge risk and nobody’s sure whether she’ll survive the ordeal.

Meanwhile, Stephanie Scully (Carla Bonner) and Jack Callahan (Andrew Morley) remain to be at a perilous situation in the hands of Ari (Dylan Watson). Other “Neighbours” cast members who will also appear on the Sept. 14 episode include Mark Brennan (Scott McGregor), Aaron Brennan (Matt Wilson), Tyler Brennan (Travis Burns), Brad Willis (Kip Gamblin) and Lauren Turner (Kate Kendall).

“Neighbours” also stars Susan Kennedy (Jackie Woodburne), Karl Kennedy (Alan Fletcher), Ned Willis (Ben Hall), Elly Conway (Jodi Anasta), Gary Canning (Damien Richardson), Paul Robinson (Stefan Dennis), Terese Willis (Rebekah Elmaloglou), Sonya Rebecchi (Eve Morey) and Jarrod “Toadie” Rebecchi (Ryan Moloney), Amy Williams (Zoe Cramond), Piper Willis (Mavournee Hazel), Xanthe Canning (Lilly Van Der Meer), Ben Ian Kirk (Felix Mallard), Madison Robinson (Sarah Ellen), Sheila Canning (Colette Mann), Charlie Hoyland (Alexander McGuire) and Jimmy Williams (Darcy Tadich).

“Neighbours” posted a sneak peek of Wednesday’s episode on its Facebook page. In the clip, Paige steps into the ring as Tyler and Jack cheer her on. However, just as the boxing match is ready to begin, Jack tells Tyler, “I can’t watch this match. Please look after her.” Digital Spy reports that Paige is disheartened after her parents refuses to watch her fight a professional boxer. She’s still feeling anxious and Tyler also becomes worried when he spots Angelina applying a mysterious powder to her knuckles before the fight.

Digital Spy spoilers also suggest that the Steph and Jack continue to be embroiled in a hostage drama with Ari. Someone gets bitten by a snake, but it couldn’t have been Jack because based on the trailer, he makes it to Paige’s fight.

“Neighbours” recap

On Tuesday, Elly was enjoying the thought that two guys were fighting over her. She was unaware that Mark was only nagging Ned to tell Elly the truth about Regan. When Elly told Ned about it, he snapped at her for being self-absorbed. He apologised, but Elly walked off. Later, Ned went over to the Kennedys’ to make up with Elly. Later, their conversation was cut short when Sonya rushed in, asking whether they’ve seen Steph.

“Neighbours” fans would remember that Steph was at Mark’s place when Ari showed up unexpectedly. Steph tried to run away from him, but he grabbed her and tied her up. She tried to negotiate with him, saying that Mark and his brothers may be on their way home. However, Ari knew she was bluffing. Ari performed some kind of a ritual using candles, as he prepared to “punish” Steph. Mark, who’s been dodging calls from the station all day, called Steph. Ari took it as a sign and said, “It’s time.” Steph panicked when Ari revealed that a snake won’t bite a good person. Apparently, he wanted to test this theory on Steph.

Ari started packing his stuff as Steph pleaded for her life. She thought she finally got through him when he untied her. However, it seemed that Ari had other ideas. Steph later found herself blindfolded inside a car. Ari drove off to the Blaze Outreach Centre and forced her to get out of the vehicle. Elsewhere, Jack went to the church and saw someone had encircled a bible verse – about Eve and the evil serpent – on his desk. He also noticed that the candles were missing and his keys were apparently stolen. Jack rushed to the Rebecchis’ to talk to Mark. Jack reckoned that Ari was at his office earlier, and based on the passage that was highlighted, it meant that the deranged man was out to get Steph. Mark, Jack and Sonya rushed to Mark’s place but Steph’s gone. Later, Jack noticed candle wax on Mark’s table. Realising that there’s only one other place that Ari would have gone with the stolen keys, Jack rushed to the centre.

Inside, Steph again attempted to beg Ari not to hurt her. She also explained what happened with Belinda. He said, however, that it’s too late and started to untie the bag holding the snake. He let the snake out and held it up to bite Steph, but Jack arrived just in time. The next scene was shot outside the centre with Steph screaming – it wasn’t clear whether the snake bit her or Jack.

Meanwhile, Gary toasted on his win at the pigeon race day. His celebration got cut short when he received a call from one of the racing officials, saying that there’s an issue with his bird. It turned out that Lassiters the bird was drugged, which dethroned Gary from the race. For doping the pigeon with painkillers, Gary was stripped off the prize. He quickly assumed Paul did it.
