Microsoft Surface Pro 4 To Launch Before Apple iPad Pro, Two Display Variants Speculated

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 is the unannounced Surface tablet edition that will come out to replace the Surface Pro 3 that is currently receiving good reception from the audience and critics. One of its major competitors is the Apple iPad Pro. Fresh leaks suggest that the Surface Pro 4 may come before the iPad Pro.

Two Display Variants

According to Inquistr, the Surface Pro 4 tablet will be made available in two display variants. The Microsoft Surface Pro 3 houses a 12-inch screen and one of the variants of the Surface Pro 4 is expected to feature the same sized display. The other variant of the Surface Pro 4 is speculated to be equipped with a bigger 14-inch display. Both the devices can support a display resolution of 2,160 x 1,440 pixels.

Processor

The Surface Pro 4 is heavily rumoured to house a 14nm process technology driven Intel Core M Broadwell processor. The power-efficient CPU comes without a cooling fan. The newly launch 12-inch MacBook Retina 2015 also houses the same processor., states the International Business Times report. The new CPU is expected to deliver battery performance.

RAM And Storage

There are no concrete details on the RAM and SSD storage of the device. However, it may come with 8 GB or 16 GB of RAM. Since the tablet will not house a CPU cooling fan, there will be more room to house a larger SSD storage.

Microsoft Surface Pro 4 Release Date

Speculations are rife that the Surface Pro 4 will be rolled out by July this year, says BGR. Microsoft is working on rolling out the Windows 10 OS which is the next major operating system for desktop and mobile platforms. It is not clear whether the Surface Pro 4 will come preloaded with the new Windows 10 OS.

Microsoft Surface Pro Mini Release Date

Microsoft is also rumoured to be working on a smaller edition of its tablet called the Surface Pro Mini. It is expected to roll out in the market by fall this year and may come preloaded with the Windows 10 OS.
