Manny Pacquiao To Floyd Mayweather: Stop Pointing Fingers At Bob Arum And Sign The Contract
Manny Pacquiao said that Floyd Mayweather should stop pointing his fingers at Bob Arum for failed negotiations between their respective camps and “just sign the contract,” while attending the premiere of his movie-documentary “Manny” on Wednesday (AEST).
"Me and my promoter (sic) is no problem. We agreed already about the terms and conditions,” the former eight-division champion told FightHype.com.
“Just sign the contract and that fight will be on. I’m just waiting for the signed contract. All he needs to do is just sign the contract.”
While Mayweather had also went on record that he would want for the highly-anticipated blockbuster match to push through, people close, or at least have an insight to the discussions, doubts that such is the case.
Pacman’s adviser, Michael Koncz, had recently stated that they are not solely relying on the undefeated American’s signature and is on the market to book other options.
The fighting congressman, for his part, is not worried should the match fail to come to fruition.
“If it happens, it will happen. If not, then not,” he added.
“We have a time limit for these negotiations.”
Pacquiao also disclosed that he might not train in the famous Wild Card Gym for his next bout.
“It depends if the fight [is] here (United States), or in another country,” he said.
Meanwhile, he expressed joy about the fact that his life will be finally shown on the big screen.
“I’m happy and excited,” he intimated.
“I’m sure this movie will give inspiration to the fans.”
The said film will be narrated by Liam Neeson, which will show Pacquiao’s rise to stardom from being a kid who wanted to overcome poverty through the sport of boxing to support his family.
Aside from featuring Manny and his wife, Jinkee, A-list celebrities like Jimmy Kimmel, Jeremy Piven, and Mark Wahlberg are also part of the cast, as well as his long-time trainer and mentor Freddie Roach, who will all be portraying themselves.
