‘Man of Steel’ Sequel Update: Official Title for ‘Batman v Superman,' Location, Superhero and Villain

The much awaited "Batman vs Superman" movie is formally set in motion as the logo of the film was released by Warner Bros. bearing the official title for the movie starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill. As reported by Variety, the movie's logo contains the title "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice." The buzz on this sequel for the "Man of Steel" is expected to reel in the DC Comic fans that will also kick start the forthcoming "Justice League" movie.

Henry Cavill has been in the shortlist of actors who were eyed to play the lead role in "Superman Returns" and was even reported by MTV that he has worn the cape already when Bryan Singer gave the role to Brandon Routh. But Cavill will not be removed from the roster of actors who played the famed comic book icon as he bagged the role for the "Man of Steel" in 2013. Ben Affleck, on the other hand, was chosen to play Bruce Wayne and it was announced by Warner Bros. in 2013. However, there was much controversy to the said casting as this was seen by many as not a wise choice due to many reasons, according to Pop Matters.

The beautiful Wonder Woman will be played by Gal Gadot. The thin figure of Gadot has made some fans wary of her playing the role of the sexy Wonder Woman though.

The location for the latest instalment in the "Superman" franchise will take place in Detroit, Illinois, Africa and the South Pacific, according to Variety. Although the plot still remains unknown, fans are already speculating possible storyline for the upcoming film.

In Movie Pilot the possible plot is Lex Luthor and Batman will pair up to bring down Superman but the latter will realise that it was a mistake and will ask the help of Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman to retrieve Superman. This plot allows the formation of the team and showcases the fight between Batman and Superman.

The film is scheduled to hit the screens worldwide on May 6, 2016 as the pre-production has already started last Oct. 2013. The filming for "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" has already started in Metro Detroit.
