Before “Empire” season 2, Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard will battle each other in Spike TV’s hit musical comedy program “Lip Sync Battle” season 1 finale. This was revealed along with the announcement that the “Empire” co-stars host the cable network’s annual Guys Choice Awards.

To be taped on June 6 at Sony Studios in Culver City, Calif., the Guys Choice Awards will air on June 18 on Spike TV. It will honor several celebrities including actors Liam Neeson and Chris Pratt, model Hannah Davis and NBA player Russell Westbrook.

Aside from hosting the awards ceremony, Henson will also be one of the special award recipients along with “Lip Sync Battle” host LL Cool J and “San Andreas” star Dwayne Johnson, who competed with Jimmy Fallon in the first episode of the show.

“I can promise you that adding their off-the-charts chemistry into the Guys Choice mix will make for one of the most unpredictable nights of the year,” Guys Choice executive producer Casey Patterson said about “Lip Sync Battle” season 1 finale with Henson and Howard in a statement obtained by Entertainment Weekly. “Gird your loins, Boys. Cookie is coming to town!”

“Bessie” star Queen Latifah and 'White Chicks" star Marlon Wayans will compete in “Lip Sync Battle” season 1 episode 10. The show previously featured Common, John Legend, Anne Hathaway, Emily Blunt, Anna Kendrick, John Krasinski, Terry Crews, Mike Tyson, Hoda Kotb, Michael Strahan, Stephen Merchant, Malin Akerman, Julianne Hough, Derek Hough and Salt and Pepa.

Meanwhile, while fans are waiting for the premiere of “Empire” season 2, Henson and Howard’s co-star Jussie Smollett will also appear in a cable channel TV show. On July 30, Smollett will be one of the artists who will perform during TV One’s “Lexus Verses and Flow” season 5 premiere.

Aside from Smollett, “Lexus Verses and Flow” season 5 premiere will also feature several artists, including Avery Sunshine, Assassin, B.o.B, Charlie Wilson, Chrisette Michele, Estelle, Leela James, Melanie Fiona, Raekwon Jazmine Sullivan and Sevyn Streeter.

The Lexus Verses and Flow” season 5 episodes were taped at Siren Studios in Los Angeles from May 19 to 22. Henson was one of the celebrities who attended the four-day taping along with August Alsina, Kenny Lattimore and Trinidad James.
