Two of Kate Middleton's favorite designers, Sarah Burton and Erdem, are nominated for Brtain's most prestigious fashion award.

Thanks to the exposure given by the Duchess of Cambridge, Sarah Burton and Erdem are both vying for the prestigious "Designer of the Year" award for this year's British Fashion Awards.

Sarah Burton designed the famous wedding dress Kate wore for his wedding with the Prince. She became globally known after becoming Alexander McQueen's creative director after the founder's suicide, .

Not only did she design the sought-after wedding gown, Burton was also responsible for Pippa Middleton's bridesmaid dress, another creation that gave her the acclaim she has awaited for years. Other famous Alexander McQueen creations the Duchess wore were the navy military-inspired coat and silk blouse, as well as the sheer, lavender billowing gown the Middleton wore for the Hollywood BAFTA event.

After she became McQueen's head designer in May 2010, Burton was given props for leaning the brand towards a more womanly image, with feminine collections coming from the brand.

Another Kate Middleton favorite, Erdem Moralioglu is also nominated for the same award. The Canadian- born designer made the famous navy lace dress the Duchess wore during the Royal Couple's Canadian trip. Erdem, as the designer is known, is also responsible for the Periwinkle laced number Kate wore after wearing the navy dress.

The winners of the awards will be announced before the year ends in late Nov.
