Recent reports suggest that the Huawei P9 will be officially announced at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2016 in Las Vegas. The P9 is regarded as a powerhouse Android smartphone that boasts of a whooping 6GB RAM. Innovative features are expected in the phone.

There was a recent post by Pocket Now on Twitter indicating the launch of the Huawei P9 along with the Honor X3. Both the devices are set to be unveiled at the CES. According to the post, Honor X3 will sport a 2K resolution for its display.

An earlier report by Android Headlines claimed that the Huawei P9 will arrive in March this year. It mentioned that the device will come with 4GB RAM. However, some fresh reports recently emerged on the internet that contradict this report.

Apparently, the Huawei P9 will be launched during CES, set to start from tomorrow. The device will appear in three variants- Huawei P9, P9 Max, and P9 Lite, Android Headlines reports. The P9 Lite will sport a 5-inch screen size. The P9 will feature a 5.2-inch display, while the P9 Max with feature an enormous 6.8-inch display.

Rumours are rife that the P9 will sport a metal body. It is also expected to be powered by Huawei’s own Kirin 950 processor. The company may introduce a 13MP rear camera sensors into the phone.

Huawei released a slew of devices in 2015. The most significant ones are the Huawei Mate 8 phablet, Huawei P8 flagship line of devices and the Huawei Watch smartwatch. The China-based company experienced many successes in the past year. The company is now looking forward to achieving more success in this year with new electronic devices.

The CES event is held in Las Vegas every year. It serves as the proving ground for innovators and pioneers in technology with breakthrough products. The event will start from tomorrow Jan. 6 and will end on Jan. 9.
