“Girl Meets World” Season 3 Episode 15, titled “Girl Meets World of Terror 3” featured a different take on Halloween. The episode, which aired on Oct. 14, 2016, showcased an equally scary situation where Riley (Rowan Blanchard) and Maya (Sabrina Carpenter) never crossed paths, and the rest of the gang lived their lives differently.

In “Girl Meets World” Season 3 Episode 15, Cory’s (Ben Savage) class believed that they are already too old for Halloween and thought that their new outlook on the holiday does not have a huge impact. However, Cory reminded everyone about the bigger consequences that even minor changes can cause. The episode was directed by Michael A. Joseph and written by Joshua Jacobs.

In the alternate world shown in the episode, Auggie (August Maturo) appeared as a ghost to feature a completely scary situation, where Riley and Maya never met and became friends. In the strange world, Lucas (Peyton Meyer) was alone all the time, Farkle (Corey Fogelmanis) and Smackle (Cecilia Balagot) hated each other, and Ava (Ava Kolker) and Doy (Cooper Friedman) spent most of their time together since Auggie was nowhere. Cory also taught history in a very simple way but Riley made him realize that there is actually more to the subject.

Aside from Auggie looking like a ghost, the other characters also had their own personas. Maya sported a Gothic look, Riley wore a green polka dotted dress and a bow, Cory had an old pair of eyeglasses on and Lucas was a cowboy. It would have been good if the episode delved more on each character in an emotional aspect. It would have been interesting to know each character’s activities in relation to their changed appearances.

It was actually scary to think that Auggie was never born, as shown in the episode. The turning point was Cory’s message about the secret of life and how people can change others around them. As the characters interacted, their personalities also adjusted. Maya and Riley eventually became friends, just like in the real world, and Auggie came into existence.

“Girl Meets World” will air next on Nov. 4, 2016 on the Disney Channel. It also airs on Disney Channel Australia.
