'General Hospital' spoilers for Jan. 26, 2017: Liz reveals her suspicions on Tom’s murder; Sonny offers words of wisdom to Nelle

“General Hospital” appears to be easing up on the intense drama just a little bit. While viewers might have grown to hate some of the characters, the next episode will offer a closer look on what actually goes into their hearts and minds when they are not out there spreading evil.

Previously, viewers saw how Franco (Roger Howarth) began facing the dire consequences of his reprehensible actions. As for Julian Jerome (William DeVry), he was in such a tight situation that he had to resort to blackmail to get out. Meanwhile, Jason Morgan (Billy Miller) gets sick. This could probably have something to do with some of his past decisions.
On the January 26 episode, viewers will get to see Liz Webber (Rebecca Herbst) opening up about her suspicions. Meanwhile, Carly Jacks (Laura Wright) will warn Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) about the things that he is about to do. As for Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), he will offer some advice for Nelle Hayes (Chloe Lanier).
As Liz looks into Tom Baker’s (Don Harvey) murder, she will have suspicions of her own. Although uncomfortable, she has agreed to put everything aside and follow the evidence where it leads, regardless of who it implicates. In this episode, she will finally reveal who she thinks the killer is with someone.
Meanwhile, Nelle’s revenge plot, which is what brought her to Port Charles, will be exposed very soon and Sonny will be stunned when he learns about this, writes Soaps She Knows. Sonny would not be too pleased to learn that, after all, he was just a pawn in Nelle’s game against Carly and this will make him snap. Sonny will be sure that he wants to throw Nelle out of their lives for good when he finds out that the reason she came was so that she could crush Carly. However, not everything will go his way.
