"Game of Thrones" Season 4, Episode 2, titled "The Lion and The Rose" is perhaps the most anticipated episode this season (or at least the first half). Readers of George R.R. Martin's "A Song of Ice and Fire" could hardly wait to see what happens to King Joffrey in the royal Westeros wedding in this epic HBO series.

Spoiler alert: This feature contains major spoilers on Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 2. Watch "The Lion and the Rose" on HBO GO or On Demand.

Martin's 'Song' readers are certain King Joffrey (Jack Gleeson) dies in this GOT 4x02. In the books, King Joffrey's wine was poisoned during the wedding feast. Fans speculate David Benioff and D.B. Weiss will not tweak the books much for the HBO adaptation. No more "when will Joffrey die" questions from fans after this episode.

Consider what avid viewers (who did not read the books) went through while watching "The Rains of Castamere" aka the "Red Wedding" (Game of Thrones Season 3, Episode 9). Turn that misery into celebration over this so-called "Purple Wedding." Expect social media memes to come sprouting out after King Joffrey dies on HBO.

In Game of Thrones Season 4 premiere, GOT fans got to see a lot of Tyrion Lannister (Peter Dinklage), Arya Stark (Maisie Williams) and Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke). Many viewers were surprised to see the "new" Daario Naharis actor, Michieal Huisman.

In Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 2, Lord Varys (Conleth Hill) is back in the Westeros limelight. Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead-Wright) and the torturer Ramsay Snow (Iwan Rheon) make their fourth season debut as well. It looks like fans will see a lot more of Bran's power this season.

Check out these Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 2 photos on Hypable.com. Worth noting is the "moment" that Lannister brothers Tyrion and Jaime (Nikolaj Coster-Waldau) share. Do they talk about the women in their lives, or do they talk about the North?

The episode synopsis for Game of Thrones Season 4, Episode 3 on TV.com is quite telling: "In the frenzied aftermath of the royal wedding, Tyrion gets a visit from a loyal subject, but wonders if anyone in his family will help him out of his current predicament. Meanwhile, Tywin offers to work for the common good with a presumed enemy."

Why else would the royal wedding aftermath be "frenzied?" King Joffrey's death is expected to have a dramatic effect to his mother, Cersei. Actress Lena Headey's brilliant acting skills will further make this week's new episode particularly potent.
