FC Barcelona midfielder Alex Song is not ruling out a summer exit from the Camp Nou as he finds himself seeing limited minutes under the reign of Barca boss Tata Martino.

The Cameroon international signed with the Catalan club in 2012, thinking that it was a once in a lifetime opportunity to get to play for one of the biggest clubs in world.

"I wanted to renew my contract with Arsenal but in that case I would have regretted not joining Barcelona," Song told beIN Sport.

"Barcelona are the best side in the world."

However, he since has failed to showcase his full potential wearing the blue and red stripes due to stiff competition in the middle of the park.

"If I leave Barcelona it will be to return to the Premier League," "I will return to England one day, that's for sure."

Manchester United are heavily linked with the 26-year-old because of their shortage in having legitimate playmaking personnel, but his former home, Arsenal, are so close to his heart that he might consider on making a north London comeback.

"He was like a father to me," He spoke of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger.

"He spoke a lot with me when I arrived to Arsenal."

Young and talented as he is, Song will definitely look for game time elsewhere.
