Best known for her role as the feisty Cookie Lyon in Fox hip-hop drama series “Empire,” Taraji P. Henson is set to go back in “Person of Interest” as Detective Joss Carter. While taking a break from her hit TV show, Henson ran into “Empire” co-star Courtney Love outside the Samsung Galaxy launch party in Los Angeles on Thursday, April 2 and promised Kurt Cobain’s widow that she’s coming back for Season 2.

Before she landed her famous role in Fox, Henson is going back to her TV roots as a guest star on the CBS show’s April 14 episode. The Academy Award-winning actress starred on the CBS drama in 2011 but her character was killed during an investigation into a corrupt cop organization in the show’s Season 3.

“On next Tuesday’s episode, Henson’s character will appear in flashbacks when Reese (Jim Caviezel) attempts to close a cold homicide case that Carter was never able to solve,” according to Entertainment Weekly. “Reese left the team briefly in the wake of Carter’s death, so this case might be a particularly emotional one for him.”

Henson’s character’s death is a big moment in “Person of Interest,” a science-fiction crime series that features a computer that can predict violence and criminal behaviour. Fans of the show will have to watch out for actress comeback role as help Reese in solving a case before her untimely death.

Meanwhile, Henson is gearing up for “Empire” Season 2 after the show’s epic Season 1 finale. Watched by 17.6 million people, the show is now the most viewed scripted show on television and everybody wants to be in it, including guest star Courtney Love who starred as an original Empire Entertainment recording artist who was struggling to make a comeback.

Henson and Love may not always get along onscreen but they have so much love in real-life as they adoringly greeted each other when they accidently met up in Los Angeles. The “Sons of Anarchy” star plays recurring guest star Elle Dallas and according to bystanders the “Empire” matriarch promised the rock star that she will reprise her role in the show’s highly anticipated sophomore season.
